PIPPIN (2020)

Pippin follows the fictional journey of a young prince and his quest to find meaning in life despite the evil forces that attempt to corrupt him. Although this show takes place in a circus, I wanted my makeup designs to cater to an eerie, melancholy aesthetic, reminiscent of an alluring spectacle. By creating 33 distinct looks for each of the characters onstage, my designs incorporated a hodgepodge of stylistic concepts that were loosely based on 1920s vaudeville performances.
